Not at all... Now if you are both in bed together the morning after a drunken night, naked, talking about this... yeah that might be a bit gay. Or if you having him help you hold it while you trim or have him trim, a bit gay. However talking about hygiene with someone else doesn't make you gay at all.
Besides there is nothing wrong with being gay anyway...

No, not at all. Just guy talk. Maybe gay if you ask him to trim yours, or you ask to trim his. But a really good buddy might trim the butt hair for you!

with a true friend (male/male) you should be able to talk about any topic without fear of being stereotyped as gay.
just to let you know--last month i read an article (in MENS GROOMING magazine) that reported that more and more men are taking pride in the appearance of their genital area. they are trimming back the hair or removing it to: give the impression of a longer member or to look neater and less bushy.
the article also stated that MOST men don't talk about what they do with their pubic hair. it's considered a taboo topic. however, it's coming to the forefront and SOME men ARE talking about it and COMING OUT about their hair trimming and/or removal.
