I think every woman should have a good friend (or friends) who is a man.
I also think that every man should have a good friend (or friends) who is a woman.
It's a good way to learn about the opposite sex and can help you in relationships.
However, this isn't easy, since many men (and I can speak from experience) want a friendship to become much more.
So, while it's possible... be careful.

Social friends or best friends?
Social friends- of course. No harm in going out with a group of friends male and female for a few drinks.
Best friends- not so sure about. There's always the attraction issue between men and woman. If one of you get a partner then the other may get jealous or even the partner will get jealous of your close bond.
It is always personal oppinion though and this is mine.
My husband was always jealous of my male friends so I no longer have them.

I am guessing you mean being just friends, and having separate partners.
Yes it is possible. But you have to work at it, to make sure it goes as far as it ought to, or ought not to go. It is no secret that when u begin to spend enough time with someone, you can develop feelings for them. So you have to really watch yours and each others backs if you want to remain just friends.
Good luck!

You havta know your LIMITS..make sure you dont dress to look appealing to them..no bodylanguage..try not to flirt would help.It is said that Guys brain r configured to think..Sex Woman Sex Bed..Womann...but they are not all that bad. They are some really genuine guys who doesnt mind being just friends. If you have partner then he should trust you being with your guy friend if not then he isnt worth it.O n did i mentioned that most my frens are guys.(bout more then 9 guys).hehe bout 95% of them. And yes they are great friends. And i do have a bf.Occasionally he wish i had less guy frens but overall he is fine with it.Im so lucky!

No . i think you can be friends with the opposite sex only if you aren't in a one-on-one...best friend relationship.IFyou have a group of pals (a friend circle as u call it) then of course a boy n a girl can b friends.
but when u spend ur time ENTIRELY with your pal of the opp. sex....then u come into risky grounds. Some girl-boy chemistry WILL occour...if not from both sides then at least from one of the two.I hope you saw When Harry met Sally...then surely u'll understand wat i'm saying!
