Ever since I've had a license to drive I've always flashed my lights at oncoming traffic to warn them there's a cop up ahead. ....I know some people don't even know what this means....but am I the only one that does this anymore??

I do that too, and no, you can't get a ticket for doing it.

Flashing your lights is the courtesy of European drivers to warn others that there is a cop ahead of them. Here in America only truckers do it, but what good it is to warn drivers if most people don't know what it means. Keep doing it and maybe American people will learn the meaning of someone flashing their lights to warn them of cops being ahead of them.

I used to flash my lights to warn if there is a cop ahead, but i got pulled over for doing so. I was unaware that this practice is illeagal, but guess what.....it is. I only recieved a warning but was told that if I got caught doing it again I would get a ticket.

no, sometimes i do it and i see alot of people do it too....but normally its to warn someone if their is a wreck ahead or if a cop has someone pulled over, that way they know to be more cautious comming up on whatevers happening, very rarely do i flash someone to warn that a cop is sitting ahead.......ive always been told you can get a ticket for that (dont really know)

I do this, its actually an old custom in America that is fading away. People used to flash when they were passing and to let someone know that they can merge over, but anymore only semi's seem to do it anymore. Most people today seem to use their lights when there tailgating and causing general road rage...lol

Yea i figured that the video became extra then meets the attention..i admire the video and that i knew that it had some sort of which potential to it...i concept that it had extra to do with hip hop then what the guy defined it as...yet no rely i think of that it became eye-catching..Ppl are writing it off as stupid...basically as a results of fact its not the traditional interior the club...which i could upload that im as sssssssoooo bored with seeing...I happy that he's bringing this sort of artistry lower back to the hip hop video...If u be conscious maximum of them t-soreness akon ringtone rappers have a similar themed movies interior the club showing off or the im sooo hood from the hood wealthy movies with all of us status around in it...and so on yadda yadda...

no---i have seen alot of people do it--of course some places say if u flash lights at a person they will turn around and follow u a gang thing

Most people know what it means, I got stop for doing that one time, when a cop ask you what your doing, what would you tell him I don't do it any more

No, that is older than me..... plus if you are behind someone on the highway and want them to move over and out of the way, you flash your headlights, this is what Germans do.
