It is a bad habit. It is used as a filler between a person's thoughts. He or she would sound so much better without the DAAH/OH/AH/UMs, etc.

People usually say 'daah' after something someone says or after they answer someone who said something they think was either stupid or obvious in their opinion. They're letting you know they think either your stupid or what you said is stupid!

For some it may mean, "really?"," or are you kidding" , or "of course"... It is a form of interjection....implying different meanings, , so don't bother so much about it. It is up to them If they don't want to express more what they mean. It is their loss not yours.
