I want to get a handheld computer, which one should I get?
I basically want it for going online, IM, and the word processor. It has to support Java, and other newer browser options. I want to be able to add a wireless card so I can use it with my wireless internet at home. I would also like it to play mp3's.

I would agree that the PDA/Phone combo is probley the best..but if you are simply looking for power PDA action, I would go with the Dell Axim x51. Great Great machine.

I would suggest combining your pda with your phone. Try the cingular 8525. it already has wifi built in. and when your on the go you can use the cellular wireless. It has a full keyboard, internet explorer, java, im, text, and you can even add flash to the ie if you want. It can also hold/play mp3s.
