Watching it tonight, so can't comment on the Sarah Jane adventure yet. However, please bear in mind they are aimed at COMPLETELY different audiences. Dr Who is family (PG), Torchwood is a solid 15 (post-watershed, we're gonna try anything and everything), and Sarah Jane is PG/U, specifically aimed at the kids.

Depending on your age, will depend which best appeals (or even if you should be watching Torchwood). I think the character development will be much more complex in Torchwood, so it will take that show more time to develop.

Torchwood definitely beats Sarah's Adventures. John Barrowman and that kiss in the dance hall!!! I'm breathless thinking about it.

I like all 3 shows equally... but the sarah jane adventures is supposed to be for kids you know... probably because they're not allowed to watch torchwood (way too much sex & violence in torchwood for kids to be watching it)
