these i think are all misnomers.....there is nothing called a best friend....only friends should be ther in our lives... we dont need best friends...I always believed having best frinds but all relationships turned into disasters..only to prove to me that one shud never emotionally rely on that one best friend...instead have a couple of close pals who understand you..share the good and the bad times with you...these u can call close friends. somehow in a best friend thing proximity becomes too much to handle an at some pointa time u realize that the two of you get too much entangled into each other....
and if you talk about a FRIEND....A friend is a true reflection of yourself...coz a reflection never lies to you. Friend is someone is " is there for you".....always...uncoditionally...WHO KNOWS YOU as much he knows his own self...who scorns you when u go wrong and encourages to bring out the best in you... who ltets you be yourself and helps you blossom into a great person!

A friend is someone you have things in common with and enjoy doing things together. A good friend is someone you trust and believe in. A best friend is the person you meet that seems to understand you, you can trust them fully with your private matters and know they will be supportive of the things you do. A best friend will be a friend no matter what or how much time has passed. It's easy to make friends and much harder to find a best friend.

A friend is someone you talk to, have a drink with (usually a few of you together), a close friend is someone you trust and will tell them your problems and listen to them and a best friend is someone you should never let go of if you have one they are the true friend that keeps you sane and the one you love above all relationships. Losing a best friend is like losing a limb.

A friend is somebody who you enjoy the company of, and trust. As opposed to an acquittance, which is somebody you know well.
A close friend, is a friend that is in close contact with you on a daily business.
A best friend, is the person who connects with you mentally, and the first person you turn to when your world starts to collapse. If you don't see them for years, they will be just the same the next time you meet.

To me a friend is an acquaintance, like a neighbor or co worker, who is friendly to you and vice versa. A close friend is one you see regularly and speak too more often. You might tell this person some of your secrets and desires. A best friend is the"one" person that you get along with the most. This person is like a sidekick and you see them almost daily. You do a lot of things together and they hold your deepest and darkest secrets. They are like family. I have a lot of friends, a handful of close friends and one best friend, and I love her dearly.

the whole package is someone u speak to and connect with and u care for and cares back,and when u turn to them they help u out,close when u share more stuff and personal things,best ,the one u prefer to be with,anything less is just a friend or an acquitance.

A friend is a person who u say hi to, and talk about general stuff.
A close friend is a friend who you knew from a long time.
A best friend is a person who you can trust with your secrets, trust with your problems, and trust that he/she doesn't stab you or betray you, and you can trust him in favors (if you fall, they'll catch you)

i guess a friend is someone u r cool with and talk to when u see him, a close friend is someone who u hang out with alot, and a best friend is someone who is there for u whenever and who u known for years. at least thats what i think.
