He's awesome.. only problem is that he can do a lot more than the "WWE syle" of wrestling he's having to do. He's already way over with the fans (there was even talk that DX was rather annoyed that CM got the biggest crowd reaction at the PPV when he was on their team).
Until they decide to really give him the push (getting him chasing the ECW title for starters, getting the title, etc) and get him off ECW to one of the other shows (likely RAW, since that's where in Vince's mind all the good wrestlers are), CM will be just going through the motions in ECW.

I was fortunate enough to see CM Punk when he first started wrestling in the Chicago-land area. In fact, I was able to see him wrestle in a back-yard federation. Back then, he dressed to fit the term "Punk" with spiked hair and plaid pants, etc...
He was part of a tag-team called 'The Chick Magnets'. (That's what CM originally stood for...Chick Magnet.)
I also had the pleasure of working with CM Punk, for a short time, in an independent federation called the Lunatic Wrestling Federation (LWF for short). Even back in those days, Punk had the drive and determination to go far in the pro-wrestling industry.
His comrades in the (now-defunct) LWF didn't take things nearly as seriously, and most of them are no longer involved. Punk kept plugging away and chasing his dream. Now, he's where he always wanted to be. He is THE future of ECW, and a big part of the future of WWE.

If punk keeps it up he will end up a legend in the near future he is too talented not to be and with alot of people leaving ECW shortly he will be the main person in ECW i will watch and the fact he beats the crap out of everyone he has come across and his only loss was in the chamber he is still undefeated and will stay that way for a while too im sure..
