No i think it is disgusting. No matter how evil a person maybe we still need to respect the body once they are dead. It is so inhumane like to want to see another dead person, the media are turning us into animals because we run towards things like this.

The british public are going through the dumbing down process.
(makes us easier for govt to control)
Exams are getting easier.
Vocational skills are getting meaningless.
Even the BBc has dumbed down its panorama programme, focusing on footballers wives and reality TV.

Frankly im embarrassed that ppl i know are so easily entertained.

Most of the ppl with something to say about saddam , couldnt tell you the first thing about him or his country and couldnt even point to iraq on a map.
Although opposed to executions in principle,I see saddams demise as a necessary step forward in iraq.
That said, I see no reason to print the pictures other than to pander to bloodthirsty ignorant trailer trash .

Not in his case. Even after his execution was broadcast there where people coming on Answers with conspiracy theories that he was spirited away and not executed. His few corrupt supporters who rallied on the day of his execution should also hang. They obviously have no care or compassion for those people he slaughtered. Showing him dead might make others think twice before they go killing hundreds of innocent people.

now that he is dead many of his followers worship him now as a martyr and so evil minds will never cease.
i felt more depressed when i saw dead rotting corps of bodies left scattered all over the roads and fields of people of all ages.
what about the scattered dead from Rwanda, South Africa, the Holocaust?dictators love no one but power how the mighty are fallen!

I'd say so. Without striking a debate as to whether it was right or wrong, I have to say that pictures of a corpse swinging from a rope is enough to make me bring up my breakfast. I've been avoiding newspapers this morning.

yes. its completly tasteless. ,,,, he did appauling things and was a horrible man. but he would have suffered a lot more locked in a jail cell all his life. i dont agree with the death punishment.. and dont think it did anything to hang him. only provoke and anger the people who supported him.

I don't think so. Look at the thousands he murdered and left lying in the street. That was tasteless.

I believe that if society opts to punish people by killing them, this should be done openly. ie Public Execution.

If the population are too shocked or ashamed to face the deeds done in their name, then they should lobby their representatives rather than be given the opportunity to look the other way.

I don't know why but I was uncomfortable with it too.
James Brown's death was a different thing altogether. He wasn't executed for crimes against humanity.
