In Spain at 12o'clock they eat 12 grapes one for every ring of the bell, this is said to give you good luck, also they eat melon and drink champagne with gold it in for the same reason.

Hi, am an indian.....................
and we celebrate new year by organising a get together where we light a BON fire.
And all boys and charming beauties gyrate on the songs of Bollywood.
Families chat their local songs............................All in all its great time for flirtatious guys like me always dot their eyes on those charming girls.............who had their one eye on their parents and another eye glued on us...................New Year eve a great time start new relationships with renewed fire..........................
And our Grand Fathers are found busy in decorating the floors in colorful rangolis..........................

In Engalnd, for the most part, it goes like this.
Wake up late on new years eve, have a drink.
Have some breakfast, accompanied by another drink.
Get dressed, go to the pub. Drink some more.
Go home, get your glad rags on and head for a party.
Continue drinking until midnight, whilst eating various canape's and munchie things.
When Big Ben chimes, sing Auld Lang Syne really loudly and badly in the middle of the street with all your party pals.
Drink even more.
Set off fireworks when everyone else has gone to bed.
go to bed when the sun comes up, and wake up at three in the afternoon with a blinding hangover and no memory of the previous night.

In Gibraltar we keep most British traditions spiced up with a few Spanish ones. We don't eat the grapes though.
PS. in Spain they also say it brings good luck if you wear red underwear on New Year's Eve!
