I love it, and would still watch it on re-runs. It has some really funny, laugh out loud moments, which are hard to come by now that most shows are done on an entirely formulaic basis that leaves me cold.
Long live the Vicar of Dibley!

All of those, in places, I think. The Christmas specials were a bit average overall but they had some very funny moments. The best was the first one by far - funniest of all got me laughing out loud - Dawn French in a puddle and emerging from it like a monster from the lagoon and diving head first over gates. It tends to work best on visual gags like this. If it weren't for Dawn French's expressive face it wouldn't be half as good. Last night, was pretty disappointing. The joke about dressing up Dawn in various ridiculous outfits was overdone. And then the BBC, always keen to pat itself on its back for its programming, couldn't resist itself in featuring Daleks. At the end, they had behind the scenes footage which reeks of smugness to me. Still, better than Little Britain Abroad, I thought.

Certainly the Xmas/NY special was as predictable and derivative as a Church of England sermon! The old 'she thinks it's his lover but it's his sister' plot taken out of mothballs once again. And I'm sorry, but Dawn French is now so morbidly obese that even the suggestion of her 'getting physical' has to be classified as some sort of perversion!

neither, but its definitely predictable. then again i think a lot of comedy comes from it being predictable, and the anticipation of when and how the story will pan out. its a shame its ended, because i thought the last 2 episodes were among the best i'd ever seen..
