Ohh what terrible accident. As an ex Southampton player.....(I wont tell you what I wished on him when he left us...or Crouch for that matter), but this was a terrible tumble and didnt look promising for him, but it looks like its not career threatening, so thats a good thing. Good luck to him and his family in the fight for his recovery.

LONDON (Reuters) - Fulham goalkeeper Antti Niemi was discharged from hospital on Monday after being cleared of any spinal damage in a neck injury suffered in their 0-0 Premier League draw at home to Watford.

Antti Niemi has been released from hospital after being cleared of serious spinal damage following a nasty fall in Fulham's 0-0 draw with Watford.
The Finnish goalkeeper, 34, landed on his head after racing from his area to clear the ball and was stretchered off.
A statement said Niemi had been "cleared of any spinal cord or spinal column injury", adding he will undergo further tests later in the week.
Tony Warner is due to return from his loan at Leeds to cover Niemi's absence.

I heard on Sky Sports News that he's been released from hospital. That must be good news.
