I have to buy a diary every year, otherwise I miss important dates like birthdays and dentist appointments. I transfer birthdays to my new one each year. I don't like having to throw them away each year as it seems a bit wasteful, but you can't avoid it really.
Day-to-day, nothing eventful tends to happen, so I don't go to the trouble of writing a daily diary. It all seems a bit egotistical to me. After all, no-one is going to read it, apart from yourself. Unless you become famous and then extracts may be published. Although getting your thoughts off your chest can be good therapy.
I suppose blogs have taken over from diaries now.

Yes I but 2 every year, 1 for my handbag and the other for home. My personal one I write everything in it, from how I,m feeling to birthdays to the weather. The home diary is mainly for birthdays, appointments and addresses. I know I have a pc but I always like a paper back-up.

No, I used to but from mid January onwards nothing ever got written in it so I gave up. I now keep appointments on a notice board, birthdays in an address book, and a calendar with a picture on the wall to remind me what day of what month it is - that's if I remember to look.

I buy myself a cheap one most years, but then fail to write in it any more than 5 times - I don't know why I bother trying! I just remember birthdays, and appointments are saved in my phone. I don't tend to forget things - I do occasionally, but thats more because I don't care about them rather than actual forgetting. I don't keep a mood diary or a record of personal events - I occasionally fill in a blog online with vague feelings when i feel like I can't keep anything more inside, but I'd rather bottle things up and pretend they don't exsist. Problems aren't problems if you bottle them all up inside and fake happiness :)

When I was a callow youth (& stupid) I took last year's unused diary and meticulously changed the date for every day of the year - and then did not write anything in it - in case it could be suitable for another year sometime in the future !!!
