John Lennon was totally against war for any reason.
The song Revolution is anti-war. Listen to it. Don't just hear it.
Listen to Give Peace a Chance too!
John Lennon was alot of "things" but he was most definitely NOT a hypocrite!

Run for Your Life on Rubber Soul is about jealousy and threatening a woman, which isn't exactly about peace. "Watching the Wheels" on Double Fantasy is basically a song John wrote telling the world that he's been living life the way he wanted and to kiss his as* if anyone had a problem with it.
