What is the world coming to?

It's coming to the point where there is confusion about God, and people are killing each other in the name of God. An oxymoron to me. Ironic, isn't it?

Okay, I kid the Christian's...they just make it too much fun with their righteous indignation....gotta love it if you cause someone to have some indignation. But I digress...

On most days I would agree with MnG's answer on this. But today I'm feeling contrary and a little under the weather, so let me just be negative for a minute or two and say that the "world" on any given day is filled with hate and love...and it's all dependent upon the beating of a butterflies wings in South America.

over many years of invetions and "progress" the world has started to slow down we are now realizing that what we have done, doin and will do is destroying everything we see about us little by little, wheather we can do anything about it or if we has just gone to far most of us will never know. As for what is the world coming to well its coming to the end as everything does it is the only certain thing in life that one day we are going to die we just dont know when the same as the world it will efficatly die hence it will be coming to its end.

the world is becoming almost savage. a lot of people are out for themselves. there is so little caring, sympathy or a sense of community. manners or any sort of respect are almost unheard of these days. it is all about short-term pleasure and not about long-term consequences. people's feelings are tossed by the wayside in order for others to get what they want. it's not the same place that i grew up in and it has really changed quickly in the last 15 years or so.

It's a fun ride!

And like all roller coasters we have peaks and valleys. We lean back and wait in anticipation for that next exciting moment. Sometimes we drop into oblivion only to forge our way out just as quickly and dodge a turn just to spin out of control the next minute. We speed up... we slow down. We rise... we fall. We spin in circles..... we unwind. We take the good... we accept the bad. We anticipate... we remember. We scream.... we hoot and holler for more! We get off and vomit..... we run back for more.

The world isn't "coming to" anything. It's being what it has been for eons. We..... are coming to it. We constantly determine the changes... we determine what will be our peak.... and what will be our valley. History shows us that there will be times of conflict followed by times of peace. Ebb and flow.

So as we wait in anticipation to see what will happen next, raise your arms over your head..... look at the people sitting beside you.... smile and tell them... "Hold on tight..... here we go!!!!!!!!"
