Photos from a phone camera are ok. When you have a picture from a phone processed at the 1-hour photo do they turn out just as good as pictures from a digital camera? NOPE... at least not yet it really depends on the size of the picture. 2x3 to 3x5 you might get away with it but 5x7 onwards you will see the difference. Because of several reasons such as lens quality, sensor size and type, and compression of the file. I have always been a lazy butt in bringing my SLR around if it wasn't for work. So I have been testing different phone cameras just to see what model would make good images. Phone cameras tested SE P800 SE K700 SE K750i Ok at 3x5 SE P990i acceptable at 5x7 N 6101 N 6260 N N93 Good at 5x7 Motorola Razr Vx I have printed several pictures using these phones to test the image quality. Only the following would "pass" in terms of sharpness and color quality SE K700 at 3x5, SE K750i at 4x5, P990i at 5x7. N93 at 5x7 good. at 8x10 there is color shifting and ghosting. I currently use a N93, its images are not as "great" as they advertised, but the video is the best. I even connected it to a 32" flat screen TV and the video was great! including the sound considering the fact that its just a cell phone. Hope this helps Ciao

For using Mobile as Camera u would require at least a mobile with 2 Mega Pixel Camera for better result. and Normally a 2 MP Camera fitted mobile will come 2 u around 15000 for new and around 10000 for the used one (depends on the condition)
Regarding brands it is well suggested by the other answerer's.
Alternatively u can buy Sony's digital camera for a price around 10000 ( a new one) for Ur use.
THANKS

hello!
1.if u are a serious camera man...
Go for k790i or k800i - both are 3.2 MP cybershot branded mobiles from sonyEricsson
they have electronic image stabilization and nice colour levels with xenon flash light , burst mode for snaps in motion and u can choose best of them ... Worth buying, big screen ,[ price 18k] approx (india)
2.Nokia n series -- Bulky , no image stabilization but
both n73 and n93 offers 3.2 mpixels , but consider cost and technical features both are inverse of each
n73 costs -- 23k and n93 costs 33k
i suggest >>> go for k790i - buy white colour limited edition its the one in the Bond movie casinoRoyale

SonyEricsson w900i(2mp camera), also the best video quality
SonyEricsson k800i(3.2mp camera), poor video quality but it is a cybershot phone.
Avoid buying Nokia-very poor image and video quality
