i can hear sounds off dvds and on windows madia player, i just cant hear it on things like u tube and my space

Don't worry, I've had the same problem. There's nothing wrong with your sound system as the speakers are obviously working. Its a problem with the file on youtube, some of the sounds will work and others won't. I tried to view some micheal jackson moves, and the sound quality was low or non-existent.

1. Plug in your speakers
2. go to programs>accessories>entertainment>volume control turn sliders up..(un mute)
3. Check that the volume on Mediaplayer / Realplayer is turned up.
4. Check that the sound card is working properlly

Check out your sound settings. Perhaps it isnt configured properly (like mine mysteriously changed itself).

check you sound and audio devices----go to start,control panel, audio and sound devises. Check on the volume controls, maybe its mute or too low.
