it will probably be the bottom layer of felt it all ways rots the first the end rots so any water that gets under tiles cant get to the gutter.it will just run off were felt ends. use some wide plastic damp course,lift tiles or slates and slide it underneath make sure it goes under the last row of felt.get it wide enough so it reaches in the gutter to.or just use the plastic felt and trim off in gutter

i lived in a house one,s with really bad damp was,nt till we got cavity wall insullation that it went away it was great and the house was warmer to.

if u have had the pointing down there shouldn't b a problem. wash the existing mould off with a bleach & water solution & hey presto no more mould will grow.

to start with you need to get a mildue killer from a good diy place. secondly if your bath room is downstairs is your damp course below the ground.
