We recently saw each other at a party and he came to me and said that he wants me back.It took me a long time to get over him,to realise that I can do much better.Why do I still feel confuseed?My girlfriends say I should never look back,that I can have any guy I want and so on.I know I have to move on,and I was doing so great,until he came to me again.Any suggestions?

Hell no! Move on. There are other fish in the sea! There is a reason why he is your EX in the first place! Don't lose track of that reason. Remember how hard it was for you to get over him the first time. Why subject yourself to that chance of hurt a second time. Your girlfriends are right. The worst thing you can do is look back. Once you made up your mind not to be with him you should never look back. Don't second guess your gut instinct. It is there for a reason. Maybe he just does not want you to be with another man. Maybe he is controlling. I don't know. But I do know from experience that going back to someone you were with before does not work out. And to just be friends is usually impossible.

When you break up, it is usually for a good reason! The reason you are confused about this is because your dreams/fantasy about this day are coming true! And, he broke your heart the first time and it took you long time to deal with this break up!!! You need to listen to your girlfriends' advice and move on! You just admitted that you could do better! Listen to your own advice and keep moving on and do not stop for him!!!

Is this the first time he asks you back? Or is it the 23rd time?
Moth-and-lightbulb relationships are such a drag on everyone's energies that if your answer is that yes, you have separated and come together before, you're best staying apart for good.
Otherwise, analyse the reasons that took you guys apart. You'll find your path through the confusion there.

Your girlfriends are right. There are reasons that exes are exes. And the reasons usually are very good. He's having trouble letting go of you or he's not having any luck finding another girlfriend. Keep moving on sister, you CAN do better!

it depends on what the problem was. if it's something you really can live with, you can give it a try. through my own experience, i found that if it didn't work the first time it wont the second. but i also learned that an ex makes alot better friend than lover. i say remain friends.

try to remeber why u two broke up and if the problem is resolved the go for it!!
