I've tried a lot of cleaners, but the rough, cloudy film wiil not leave! The film is easy to scratch with my fingernail, but even fine scrubbing items don't remove it well enough. Seems like I could soak it something! Help!

You are in desperate need of a product called "NEVER DULL" one use, one PROPER use and you're silverware will be brand new once again.

This should be able to be buffed out. If you have a Dremel tool you can use the buffing wheel; or if you have a bench grinder you can install a buffing wheel. Try rubbing first with a very soft cloth to see if it comes off that way.

Who is the maker of your stainless flatware? Perhaps they have a website that lists a number for customer service, or a list of FAQ's that might answer your question.
