I think many women tennis players do dop. I suspect most Russian women playes do dop . 1- Maria Sharapova. 2- the William sisters.
I base my arrgument on the power they hit the ball. No real woman without dopping would have such power & in tennis dopping tests are rarelly done & only if u have proof.

I agree with you and i do think lots of women tennis players do dop cuz winning now for them is how powerfull u could hit the ball & i believe Maria Sharapova & her Mad father would do whaterver to win.
Correction, she is 6 3" & not 6 2" & weights 142 lb & i believe she does dop ,but she will never be tested cuz tennis organizers need her to continue playing cuz she makes them lots of money.

The continuing study of the mechanics of the strokes of the game are the #1 reason for the power increase on both tours. #2 reason is the size of the athletes. The current women's pros dwarf their predecessors of only a decade ago.

But I will say I'm not certain what the drug testing policies are now, but in recent years, the women were only being tested at the Slams. Well, with that much warning and an extended fall/winter break, it wasn't difficult for them to clean their systems of any illegal substances by the time the Australian Open came around. You always had a pretty good idea of which of the women were possibly on steroids by watching their physical definition degress from the Australian Open on through the season. If current testing policies are the same, you might watch their physiques change over the next few months.

I believe those who participate in Olympic tournaments already are under the doping regulations. I'm sure some form of testing is done in the professional circuit as well. The issue is certainly less dominant in female sports, largely because the public perception isn't as strong as it is with men. The media likes to focus on things where the $takes are higher...

I do think you have a case for argument.

First of all... What the heck is dopping? I'm going to assume that you mean DOPING. They are tested for doping, the practice of using steroids... the WIlliams aren't russian... And they don't have that good power either. Mauresmo hits harder than they do.

dopping? NO
DOPING? YES

And considering that Maria Sharapova is 6'2" and has a 36" reach and her body is 130 lbs of lean muscle, I believe that she can accomplish her speeds naturally. (and look mighty good doing it at the same time).

Just because you can't envision it doesn't assure that there MUST be some form of doping happening.

I'm pretty sure they are tested; a few yrs ago, Sesil Karatantcheva was banned from the tour for drug use.
