add something more that can show importance to your partner in other aspect.You can add a heartfelt-letter, photos, a ticket for two,etc.

Beautiful lingerie is nice for a woman. If you're talking about a man, it's doubtful that he would want underwear for a present. Surely, you can come up with something more impressive.
