I am a very good mixtue of both, and I say good, because that's how I keep my sanity. It kind of boils down to choosing your battles. If you have a life and family of your own, you try to put it first and foremost, but friends sometimes are in dire need of support. I filter through the false one, and the "wolf criers" and help who needs it the most.

I used to be much more available when I was younger. These days I participate in situations where my help is really needed - and interestingly, there are not so many of those. The rest is just people wanting to moan and whine and you to be their fire hydrant. I don't find this to be beneficial - neither to them nor to me. So in these cases I'm out of the back door pretty fast.

Yeah I am always there for my friends in crisis because that's what a friend is for. Besides,they always trust me & I always try to help them because they believe in me.

I belive that I try and be there as much as I possibly can.. I dont think anyone in this world should have to suffer in physcaly or emotionaly distressing times alone.

I use to be, but not now.
Some friends thrive on crisis and drama. Ended up getting me down.
