In internet explorer, tools menu-connections-lansettings- proxy setting is disabled for me. if i want to use another proxy i cannot use. i want to know how to enable this proxy settings window to me. Top of lansetting window there is automatic configeration setting is there. this window i can access. bottom is proxu server settings. Kindly plz help if anyone knows answer.

It sounds like you're on a business or school network. If that's the case, your systems admin has locked down your machine so you can't change it.
Even if you could it would not work. You're using an internal proxy for internet access. If you changed that to an external proxy, your internet access would not work at all.

Tick the "Enable Proxy Server" thinger. I can't quite remember how to do it in IE 6. IE 7 is much simpler.

HELLO if ya having problem with PROXY SETTING at DL YM,and if ya using this COMP for HOME, DISABLE YOUR " NORTON" for like 5 mins and then download YAHOO MESS and u will be fine.
