If you're just starting, this website (http://www.guitarnoise.com/intermediate.php) has a lot of easy stuff and it tells you how to play the songs too.

I know harmony-central.com and olga.net used to have great tab archives that were truly free. I don't think they have all that cool stuff anymore because of copyright problems or something. I def would go to local music shop and pick up some cool tab book. Like a band's full album on tab. I personally started with Nirvana of course and all kinds of mind 90's music to learn guitar. It was great.

Hello,
This course is even better than a personal guitar teacher http://www.goobypls.com/r/rd.asp?gid=554

the site has thousands of videos and well explained lessons, everything is explained step by step and it's easy to follow. I haven't found any better online training course elsewhere.

How about Red Hot Chili Peppers's Under the Bridge (you are literally holding a C, then plucking through and then an E and plucking through). All Chili's stuff sounds great. Californication is super easy peasy too!

I get all my tabs from the guitar pro program I bought... Well worth the money and you can get thousands of tabs for it...

Email me if you get a copy and I'll send you my tab files... I have 30,000 or so....

My favorite tablature website is probably www.ultimate-guitar.com. It has yet to let me down and even has the tabs for some pretty obscure stuff.
