Not that long ago, but had to make them myself & I bought them from a mill in Georgia cuz I love their grits. They were fab. I just moved up to South Jersey from FL, about 8 months ago & hardly anybody up here knows what they are much less cooks them & eats them. None of the restaurants serve them, unless they are a chain like Denny's, so then they are probably instant grits, yuck! I love mine with little bits of bacon in it. Have you ever had grits and shrimp? That is an excellent dish & you can spice it up with a little bit of Crystal hot sauce for an extra bite, common dish in FL. I miss my FL food. People in S. Jersey really don't know how to cook or eat. I'm getting hungry for some grits now.
