if B gives 5Rs to A, then they will have equal amounts of money. So we know that:
B-5 = A +5
or
B=A+10

on the other hand if A looses 5 and B gains 5 then
B+5=5(A-5)
or
B+5=5A-25
B=5A-30.

we can then equate these two formulae:
5A-30 = A+10
4A = 40
A=10

and substituting this into one of the original formula:
B=A+10
B=10+10=20

If A gives 5 to B, B has 5X and A has X.

Initially B had 5X - 5 and A had X +5.

If B had given 5, B would have 5X -10 and A would have X + 10, which are equal.

5X -10 = X + 10.

X = 5.

Initially A had X +5 = 10
and B had 5X - 5 = 20.

Another way.

Before A and B had equal amounts (say Y)

A had Y-5 and B had Y+5.

If A gives 5, then B has Y-10 and B has Y +10.

But 5 (Y-10) = Y + 10.

Y = 15.

A had 10 and B had 20.

One more way.

If A had Z then B had Z+10, so that if B gives 5 both will have equal amount.

If A gives 5,
then A will have Z-5
and
B will have Z +15
which is 5 times (Z-5)
Z +15 = 5(Z-5)
Z =10.

A had 10 and B had 20
