what could be the problem and how much would it cost to get fixed?
2002 honda civic lx coupe.

You did check the fuses didn't you ?

Could be a loose connection or the material in the lines that go across the window (I don't know what it's called) has been worn away. The do make kits that you can get to "paint" this material back on. Don't know how well they work though.

make sure that the contacts on both edges of the glass are touching the grid and do not look burned, then you can look for a break in the grid. when done correctly the repair kits work, but you may want to take it to a glass shop and have them repair it or replace the glass as needed.
