The answer to this question depends entirely on where you market is. Who are you trying to sell your products to, and where are they most easily contacted? Once you know these criteria then you can start to build a good marketing strategy. There is not just 'one; good marketing strategy out there so different ones have to be taken in different circumstances.
If your market is on-line, then (depending on what the product actually is) getting it onto a popular website would help.
Direct advertising through billboards and commercials on local TV or radio are also an option if your market is not on the internet.

The best one would be to market to those that would actually use the product . . .
Nothing lamer than a female getting viagra and balding creme ads or men getting eyeshadow promos or seniors getting offers for resume help.
Too many idiots putting whatever out to everyone and most of it ends up in the trash bin.

myspace networking is the best way to go.
by supplying ppl on myspace with an interesting page that contains something that will keep wanting them to come back to it, you shall be able to succeed efficiently in your marketing.
