I scanned about a dozen papers, saved the images in a folder, but need to know how to burn the folder onto a CD because I really don't want to have to print these all out! (Rather, I'd give the disc to someone who wants these and let HIM print 'em all out.)

If it is windows XP and you have a CD burner or DVD burner.
Just put a blank CD in the drive and drag the folder to the drive letter. You can then either right click and "write these files to CD" or press the eject button and it should ask if you want to write them.

If it is not windows XP then you need some CD burning software. There is possibly some free stuff. just do a search.

Depends on your computer.

First, do you have a CD burner? Do you have CD burning software?

Usually when you put a blank CD in the drive it shows a CD on your desktop. On my computer (yes, it's a Mac) I can drag files and folders to that blank CD icon and then click "burn" and it will burn the files without me having to open any software.

Some people have to use a program like "Toast" to burn CDs and DVDs (yes, bad pun, but the software is real).

You should copy them onto a CD individually (not as a folder) as data files or as photo images (easier to print).

I would include both formats on the CD.

Im assuming you have CD Writter

If you are in XP.....Its Easy

Copy the folder which needs to be burn.
Insert blank disc
Once disk inserted, goto my computer, double click cd drive icon
Go inside you will see nothing (If that disk is empty)
Then paste that folder there.
Ill take bit of time if its heavy, then ill create a shortcut there.

Once you see shortcut, do right click i that whole remaining empty white space and click this
Burn these files to DISK.

Thats. it.

If not on XP.

Install CD writer software (A MUST)

and then follow the instructions. (Its easy too)

Hope it works fine for you. cheers. mate.
