Put it against the outer part of the inner ear (do not try to find some deep hole there...).
BTW, arm-pit, mouth, ear, bottum: always all give different readings. Did you know that?

Just into the groove of your ear where it fits just right. Those darn things are never accurate though!

Are you seriously considering putting a rod of some type inside the canal of your ear?..... I hope you wont do that!!!

I nearly messed my ear up trying that mess.... dont' be no fool if you value your hearing......

it should just be placed on the ear gently and it should give you a accurate reading.

Never shove anything down your ear!
