When Muslims burnt Danish flags a few months ago were they not being racist? After all, just as not all Muslims are terrorists, so, not all Danes are cartoonists.

Racism is not just about colour. If it was it would be called "Colourism" Racism is about "race". This includes nationalities (ie Danish) and religions (ie Islam), and a flag is more than a piece of cloth. Flags have huge symbolic meanings to many people around the world.

What I find funny is that the NY Times out-cried the Danish cartoons for being racist and anti-religious and yet allowed (the very next day, mind you) the showing of an art exhibit of the Virgin Mary covered in dung.
Seems the liberals will condemn any religiously insulting as long as its Christian. Anything else (including Islam) is off limits.

Lol i remember that and i must say i laughed my head of but only because i thought it looked like bin laden. if its the number one sport then its time it had some rules:
1- american flag = 10points
2- danish/english flag= 5points
3- pope picture = 20points
4- other flag = 1 point.
whoever gets the most points in two minutes wins a haribo!!!

There was plenty of flag burning in the USA during anti-vietnam war protests. That didn't make them racists. It did however, throw their patriotism into question and many were arrested on that premise.
Flag burning is pointless in my view. After all it's just a rag on a pole.

The only real and true racists in this country are the Labour Party and the way with which they treat English people, pure comtempt!!!!!! Which other government would tell it's people that it is illegal to fly their country's flag or celebrate their religious festivals???
If Blair and his colleagues hate the English so much why don't they F*CK off to Iraq or somewhere and let us live in peace!!!

to be a racist you have to hate someone because of there colour... are all Danes white? or Black? the Muslims that did the flag burning where a minority like the danes that are cartoonists!
people are people no matter what religion or colour!

Flag burning is not an act of racism. Racism is directed against human beings, not pieces of cloth.
Sorry - I don't agree that burning a piece of cloth is anything like discriminating against someone because of the color of their skin.
