I've been tested for any STD's, the results are negative, but my lower back has been hurting recently too, plan to go to the doctor. Does anyone have any ideas as to what this may be???

it can be a number of different things
Usually dark discharge including abdominal or lower back pain can be a sign of miscarriage. But it depends how long this has been happening

It could be a Number of other things to. for example believe it or not women have a number of different kinds of naturally occurring bacteria in the vagina. If the natural bacteria has been destroyed infection can occur. (it may happen by douching too Much or simply taking anti-biotics)
Since i dont know exactly ho you feel try going to webmd.com you maybe can have more luck finding your symptoms there.

how long had you had this pain after your test results and did you take these results after the pain came about. if your pain is coming from a particular spot or it seems as if it is on the surface and not deep in tissue check to see if there is any discoloration going across your back in a strange patten of design, and if the pain feels like your siatic nerve ( if you even felt it flare up before) it could be shingles see a doctor mind you there are more than one type of shingles besides herpes dont let the doc tell you its herpes until he gets the tests back if he does ( if it is) he's irresponsible. but i hope its not

it also could be a bladder infection and a bad one but you didnt mention any stinging urination.

Your statement that your lower back is hurting leads me to wonder whether you might have a kidney and/or bladder infection, especially as your tests for STDs have been negative. It's definitely time to get to the doctor - you do NOT want your kidneys fouled up.

how many times do you have sex?
it may not be an STD but maybe an infection...go for an overall check.
