No, it does not hurt, but it is uncomfortable and it pinches for just a moment.

They take a sample of the lining to check for abnormal cells.

it is not as undesirable as you think of. i became terrified while i became approximately to have my first pap smear, yet i became making an excellent extra advantageous deal approximately it than it became. it somewhat is extremely speedy and clearly a sprint uncomfortable. even inspite of the shown fact that it somewhat is something which you will would desire to do for the time of your existence. extremely in case you intend to have little ones sometime. On a scale of a million-10 .....10 being undesirable and a million being not something, it somewhat is a 2. sturdy luck and dont difficulty your self ,it somewhat is going to be over in the previous you recognize it.

It doesn't hurt, but it's very uncomfortable. And it can be a little embarrassing. It's a way of testing for yeast infection, sexually transmitted diseases, cervical cancer, and other possible female issues. Just a little suggestion take deep breathes during the exam and think about something that brings a smile to your face. That works for me.

It does ,depending on who does it and how.I had one done by a female nurse, she put a big silver thing inside which was too big for my virgina and pushed it deep.it hurt ,only the friend told her not to push harder.I t appeared like she did it deliberately to hurt me although i dont know why.It might not be so bad with you but in my case it hurt.
