Ok, torrents are pieces of information that torrent programs read to tell where to download stuff from. You must have bittorrent software like http://www.utorrent.com or http://www.bitcomet.com
get torrents from torrent sites like http://www.isohunt.com
and
http://www.torrentbox.com
open the torrents with your program and they will download. they are used because it clears up server bandwidth by transfering to p2p. downloads are easily resumable, and make it easy to share your files. They are illegal if copyrighted material is posted(which is what most of it is). Limewire comes with more viruses because there are items being downloaded. ex. you download 12 fergie songs, but with a torrent, you download the whole cd at one time.
