How would you know if I just came up from the bottom instead of going the opposite direction? Is this edge on the side of a cliff or mountainside? No, I wouldn't be offended. I'd look at you and wonder why you would say it in the first place.

Depends on what it was I was doing on the edge in the first place. If for example, you were sitting there and I was forced to go around you, then you said 'Why don'tcha jump?' I could well be startled and rather put out. But, I f I were there to do the jump, I could quite possibly take you with me for such a comment. And, I could also be there for Bungee jumping, in which case, your statement would mean a great deal of encouragement for me. So, whichever of those tickles your fancy!
