From the programs I have seen on this subject, many involving people who have grown up after these "corrections", I would be greatly tempted to leave the child alone. They are often unable to experience any sexual gratification in a "normal" way (erectile tissue has been removed) and many don't "fit" their assigned gender. This has been attested to by people born with this condition who have had the operations. In fact, one intersexed person who teaches at a university has been on several documentaries and is all for leaving these people as is, i.e. "don't fix what ain't broke". Others who have had these reassignments were given a gender they didn't think fit them. If the child is healthy otherwise, leave it alone.

I wouldn't mess with it at all. When the child gets old enough it can be determined whether they are feminine or masculine and then the parents and the child can discuss whether surgery is even necessary. It's not strictly up to the parents because it's the child who will have to live with the choice that is made and they had better have a say so about it.

I would leave the child alone. If the child have the Y chromosome, than the child will be consider as a male. But if the intersex child have no Y chromosome in it DNA, the child can be identified as a female.

Leave the kid alone. I'd try to figure out through dna or a scan of the organs to show what works and what doesn't. I'd probably give a unisex name too. As the child grows, treat them like a normal kid and let them wear clothes from either/both genders. One day the child will associate more with one gender. If they choose as an adult to have the surgery to permanently assign a specific gender, I'll support them. But I could never choose for them. Its not my body, its the child's.

I would not feel right choosing for the child. Educate them and explain to them why they are different. Teach them young and continue through out their teens. Let them decide what they are and who they want to be. You cannot feel their feelings and passions. When they begin puberty they will get a clue as to the man or women they would like to become. Love them and let them know they are not "freaks" as society has deemed them. They are a blessing from God and should be treated as so.

I think that I would have the child's DNA tested to see which gender it was genetically, and go from there. Of course, I'd also have to take into account whether or not the child had functioning ovaries or testicles, so as to know whether or not it would need hormone and other treatments as adolesence approached.
