I am real conservative and judgemental. I dont like liberals, hoodrats, rap music, or anything like that. I would like to stop being so judgemental and not get upset at people's ideas, even though I think most of them, and even though I think most people are stupid hippies.
I have to do something because I get stressed out a lot, and im trying not to let other people's idiotic ways get me like this. Any GOOD advice is appreciated.

not sure how you can and will do that ? as for me .i learned a long time ago not to say just anything that came to my mind , i have learned # silence # when i would find myself in uncomfortable situations .......today i must say , that i am very tolerant toward others; now , nobody really bothers me , and i still have my opinions without letting others know about it .......
you can always think whatever you may want , just do not it say out loud :-)
you also have to learn to listen to others .......

Start by taking a real close look at yourself-you already admit you are judgemental and intolerant but go on to call other people's ways "idiotic". Tolerance begins when you admit that we all have faults and take it to heart-we have to live together..

I once heard a very wise person say that often times, the things we dislike most in others are the things that in fact we dislike in ourselves. I think the best way to be tolerant of others is to look VERY carefully in the mirror; be at least as critical of yourself as you are of others. Ultimately, you are the only one you can change - you can't change anybody else without their consent. Look for the good in others and in all situations - perhaps I'm overly optimistic, but I believe it exists.

By remembering that you are probably just as annoying to others as they are to you. Everyone is entitled to be what they want to be and certainly are under no obligation to anyone else. You will seldom find people who believe completely the way that you do. To that end the easiest way to deal with others is to remember that you are annoying to others just as they are to you.

If you learn to accept yourself, you will accept others.
