Big Tip $$ --- if that is true, I gurantee I'll be able to get that steak for free -- 32 ounces is nothing when I get super hungry!! Thanks for the advice, I'll have to look that up!

Well actually it is a 35 ounce steak and you win a free shirt if you finish it off. The price for the steak is $34.99
Still I wish it were closer to my house -- I know I could finish that off easily when I get super hungry.

Sure don't know about LA, but people always love to challenge The Big Texan in Texas. It's served on a huge platter, like you would serve a Thanksgivng turkey on, and the steak hangs over the platter. A few people have actually eaten it by taking breaks over a three or four hour period. Oh, and it comes with all the regular sides... buttered,bread, potatoes, salad. So far, no one has had a heart attack... but I imagine it's just a matter of time.

That was a great scene from "The Great Outdoors" when John Candy the steak. But I don't think there is a restaurant like that around L.A.

In San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties there is a place called AJ Spurs that does this.
The steak is a 32 oz. top sirloin, and if you finish the entire thing it is free.
Gross.

Sorry, but the only one I know is The Big Texan in Amarillo, TX, where you have to eat a 72 oz. steak in one hour to get it for free.
