HI Greg s don't worry man this is a small problem, this problem may be due to cross cultural change or within culture change. believe me even i had this same problem. i just say u what i did for this probes. try to wear impressive clothes. but not in a foolish way or too grand just moderate. use bright colors but not too bright ones. say hai and bye to people whom ever u know in the college cam pas. if there is a conversation just go and join them, be aware of current news in sports , cinema music and even politics. act smarter. continue to go to those places. praise the other like ;
hey u look cool ya.
hai u look great in this dress.
your are so sweat.
do all these and see the progress. friend always keep your face smiling this attracts many people. hey they have things to do ya, no one has time to make fun of u man . u don't need a therapist . your are great ya u would get more friends. good luck have a fabulous new yr.

You shouldnt really give a damn about what other people think....
Get a mirror and look at yourself, be happy with what you are seeing, be satisfied with hwta God gave you, in a way kinda fall in love with yurself (but not too much).
No one can judge you (except God). Fear no one in life (again except God).
Remember "Fear is just this little dark room where negatives are developed"
Keep Smiling.
Believe in yourself
My self - confidence is very low as well...We'll work on it together..... :)
Good Luck to the both of us!!!!

Learn to detatch yourself from the crowd. Just fool yourself into thinking that you dont care, that your better than a situation, and you wont, and you end up looking cool and collected in the process. Or try this; just be a complete fool in public, or do something really embarrasing on purpose, like wear something really dreadfull or something like that. Then next time your out in public it wont be as bad, you will feel alot better about yourself! (i've done this myself!)

Sounds like social anxiety disorder. Do a internet search for that and you will find all sorts of help. You may also want to visit a therapist.

This certainly sounds like some form of anxiety disorder; I strongly suggest contacting your doctor and/or consulting a therapist. Good luck!

Find a way to feel better about yourself. Make sure your comfortable with the way you feel. Feeling clean and fresh, and comfortable, and happy helps alot. and see a doctor if you need more advice. They can help.
