For us, Nike and Adidas is simply casual wear. It's affordable and comfortable so many people wear them.
As for Gucci and Dior, not only rich people are wearing them. I've seen some middle class people with this type of clothing. It's not like they have a closet full, I'm sure, but they have some articles of this type of clothing.

Nike and Adidas are both popular brands, for that matter so is Reebok, Timberland, Puma, Newbalance , Jordan's, Etc. And any of these shoes can be expensive just like any of these shoes can be on sale at some point. Anyone who wants a certain name brand weather it's Nike or Gucci or Dior find ways to buy what they like. It doest matter what the brand is, poor people just as well as rich people find ways to afford the brands they like.

I agree, real rich ppl wear Gucci and Dior but that depends on where you're at. At the gym I see a lot of Nike but let's say for a casual look at the mall the more hip brands are puma, diesel, cole haan casual shoes, coach casual, bebe sport, etc.
