He is basically a test player and not well suited for One Day Internationals. Opening the innings requires special skills and the openers's main task is to see the shine off the new ball, so that the batsmen to follow will not have much problem in batting.

are you joking. Wasim jaffer is only good for test matches. And about selection being wrong or right most f the Indian cricketers
are like that. they some times play good and most of the time worst

Nah. He strikes me more as a test match player. He has a pretty slow run rate but he is able to score. His first class average is amazing while his list a limited overs average is mediocre at best. I say, Jaffer should stick to being the hero of the test matches.

No doubt, Wasim Jaffer a classy Test player. But his inclusion in the ODI team is not a very wise decision. POSSIBLY, THIS WAS THE IDEA OF GREIG CHAPPLE

well,if he becomes a bit experienced the the cricket board might give him a try,but later on after the world cup2007. he is a player like the classy dravid. and if dravid can succed then why not wasim jaffer

well it depends
because he is a typical technical slow batsman.
so if the pitch in a one day match is not very good he may be able to play properly due to his perfect technique
other wise he is a complete test player and not a ODI player

i dun think so ..like he scored a hundered in the 3rd test match but i think that was a fluke ..cuzz if he was gud he wouldnt had got out on 0 in the first 2 matcheszz

no not at all.did u see he scored 116 of224 balls.bt tats ok in test.he's basically a opener.no it(odi) wil not suit him.to say dravid is not fit for odi's.
