Yes it is most certainly worth doing.
A couple get to go out because their child is looked after. You get to watch TV in a nice home and relax.
The pocket money is great for extras and whatever.
I think Childminding is a great job and important too..

Childminding earns good money, thats if you mean proper childminding with qualifications, if just babysitting for a couple of hours not so much either way both are rewarding. People are trusting you with their children, the most prestious people in their life thats a lot of responsibility and you have to be a good role model. You'll be proud that the parents believe in you enough to leave their children with you.

It is rewarding in as much as you know you are doing something worthwhile. If you are planning on doing it at home know that you will have to have your house checked and safety features installed if they are not already in place. If doing it on a full-time basis your name has to be checked and I believe you also have to have first aid qualifications - the best place to enquiry would be the careers office.

Financially don't think you will ever be well-off but it will pay the bills etc.

hiya its def worthwhile if you go to your local c.a.b. they can advice you as some towns run free courses to get you qualified as they are so low on them
