When we cook (VERY aromatic curries), we hv to hide our coats/bags in our rooms and shut the doors and the smell still manages to get in. We have resorted to wearing our rattiest clothes to avoid embedding the smell in our "good" clothes. When we step out, we smell like curry munchers.
We've tried scented candles, air freshners and all of that. What works??

open a window and run fans while you're cooking - don't wait until you're done
make sure your over-the-oven filter is washed and clean (run it thru the dishwasher or soak in very hot soapy water)
cover your food as you cook if possible and cover food when done

If all that fails - try Frebreeze :)

Get the best air purifier there is--Atmosphere. I have one that works great. I make a lot of "smelly" dishes but when I put the purifier in turbo mode- after 15-30 minutes, everything smells fresh again...curtains, walls etc. Plus, it gets rid of bacteria, some viruses, and allergens as well.

Take charge!!!!
