Taxes and insurance & the catch is location, location, location . . .
Equal houses in different states can be totally different $$.
House A in California will be $5k in taxes & $2k in insurance, in another state the same house will be $1k in taxes and $500 dollars in insurance.
WHERE are you asking about ? What is the house assessed at ?
There are also utitlity (gas, electric, water, garbage) as basics . . . then your luxuries like telephone & cable.
After those monthly expenses, you need to start a 'reserve' for things like roof replacement , water heaters, furnace and air conditioning services and eventual replacment. Houses are like cars, their parts wear out except house parts are way more expensive . . . best to save for the repair / replacments ahead of time unless you are prepared to go without hot water until you can afford the unit and labor to get it up and running again,
