This is related to English grammar. When we say "I went there two years back." Is it wrong? Or is "I lived here twp years ago" wrong?
How do we decide when to use what?

I think that ''two years ago'' is correct in reference to the current point in time. ''Two years back'' sounds more colloquial and requires a time reference.

i reccommend saying: I went there two years ago.

Ago is more formal.
