End of friendship. Period.
Exception ... if the friend betrayed a trust to save your life, or to help you get help for a major problem. Such as, telling your parents you self-mutilate, or something along those lines. This is BEING a true friend.

Forgive them first, don't carry the burden in you heart.
Everyone makes mistakes if they are a true friend they will ask for forgiveness and apologize. Often we are hurt by someone that doesn't do right by us but forget the times we done something wrong to others, If you want forgiveness by others you must learn to forgive. That don't mean you have to let them do that to you again, but It also don't mean you have to end your friendship over one thing. Best friends are hard to come by and life is much to short to hold on to hurt.Talk to them let them know why you were hurt and see where there heart is if they apologize except it.

Real best friends dont betray you......... but if it happens,
pack up what you can, move 170 miles away and start over. & from now on be cautious when meeting any new people....

I would forgive him/her and I would personally know that the person was not really my bestfriend but a fraud.
