He has succeeded in uniting Presidential power.
He succeeding in uniting enough of the non-Republican majority in this nation to lose control of the House and the Senate.
He succeeded in uniting a large portions of the world population against his policies and the war on Iraq.
I guess overall he is more of a uniter than a divider.

In a true democracy, we'll always have a sense of division. It's a part of the debate of issues. Any time there is a war, there will be a sense of division, unless the reasons are so cut and dry, such as Pearl Harbor, Hitler, etc. And even after that there were a few who believed against the war, including Joe Kennedy.
Bush is a divider only because of other issues, too, not just the war. Name a uniter as a President?

Well there is no doubt that the country has become more divided under his leadership, but I would be greatly hesitant to attribute that division to him. Instead, I feel many liberals these days simply cannot handle anyone of any ilk other than liberalism having an ounce of power. I truly respect Bush's leadership but do realize that the country is very divided these days, and I see it as being the product of nothing more than pure and irrational hatred from the left, with no basis whatsoever except for the liberal hate machines such as Michael Moore and the NY Times

George Bush's Disapproval Rate: 65%
Iraq War Disapproval Rate: 70%
Belief Amercan is "Off-Track": 69%
GOP Approval Rate: 12%
I'd say he's good at uniting people against him.

Well said Aztec and Alex. the far left that run the Democratic party now a days are so full of hate for Bush that at times have put our military in more danger then they would have been in if it weren't for their obsession to belittle Bush. If he found a cure for cancer tomorrow they would find more things wrong with how he did it why it took so long etc. they would never be able to say good job. lol I am ashamed that I was once part of the party. But I didn't leave the party it left me.

he's a uniter. He united the Iraqi insurgents with the Al-queda. in the previous, they could not stand one yet another. Now, they got here upon a typical enemy. He additionally united Halliburton with the oil fields in Iraq.. this is a chuffed union.

Bush is a uniter. He has done nothing but be friendly toward Democrats. He compliments them, and then they turn around and shower him with personal insults (i.e. Nancy Pelosi, Bill Clinton, Harry Reid, et all)
You can't logically blame Bush for all the partisanship. The Democratic leadership and the mainstream media are simply all hardcore leftists.

It's not specifically GWB is the issues that deeply divide us. No one is willing to compromise on ideas they feel to be absolutely right or wrong.
Seriously, to blame the problems of the US and the world on one man is to concede that you have lost and no longer have any able to affect your life.
