This is actually EASY.....
but it took me a long time to realize it.....
Everyone has two things they cannot live without.
1- The Face that they see in the mirror every morning
2- The Face that they think everyone else sees in them
The 'Perfect Person' is the one that shows the same 'Face' to everyone, including themselves. In other words they can say a thing and mean it because they are telling the truth. They are comfortable with their lives, their actions, and their promises. Typically everyone else is comfortable with these poeple as well because they know they can trust them.
The other people let one (or both) of the two parts of themself down. Either they lie to themselves so everybody still likes them or they lie to others, or even worse they do both and only THINK they are wonderful people.
Both are somewhat spineless, but its human nature to take the easy road and not risk making things tougher for yourself.
I personally think they are spineless cowards...

Simply because they want to please others. Sometimes situation is such that they are upset with someone else that either they seek someone with the same opinion of that person or situation at that time and then later when they are on good terms with that person they go back to that person as if things were alright.
But the third party feel rather "cheated" and finds the other two-faced. The answer lies in the fact that humans always seek affirmation from others as a source of comfort to feel that they are right.
Another point is that they simply want to please others. That is actually the easiest way to find someone who will like you just because you share the same opinion when in actual fact you just DONT.
But to others that person is a hypocrite.

People are not only two faced.
They can have as many faces as they like, need and want.
Perhaps more faces are more interesting.
Perhaps it's not only faces, but other parts as well.
I leave it all to your imagination and all the parts of you.

I am dealing with a 2 faced person right now. they are like that because they will talk behind your back because they dont really like you, but then they will talk to you just because they want to be nosy and find out new news about you, so they can go and talk about you some more!

Well I don't like people with two faces people,they are cruel,stubborn,mean,arrogant and they should think but sometimes it comes back to them big time and they regret it.People like that are stupid too and they are not to be trusted cause they're trouble maker.

Because they are weak, selfish and shallow. Its a lot harder to be nice, honest and virteous(is that the right word?), than to tell a whole lot of lies, and be popular with other people.

It helps them get what they want be it information or progression/ promotion up the ladder.
