I'm in a very hard district. I'm in 8th grade now, and we're actually taking 9th grade courses!!! There's also too much homework. They don't understand that we also have a life and a childhood to enjoy. Eberyone at my school constantly worries about finshing their homework and getting a good grade on a test that we only had 1 night to study for. Does anyone agree with me??

When I was in school (gosh that makes me sound old) They had really started to crack down on SOL's (I was the test year for the SOL program.)

We were studying for 2-3 hours a day for our SOLs alone and it made it very difficult to focus on our other work.

I think that schools are having a harder and harder time preping their students for college life. But I also think students are focusing less and less on studying and more on social things (pregnancy, drugs, dating, etc) that are more prominent now than 10-20 years ago.

Times are changing, just like they always do.

Unfortunately the nature of the game is keep up or get left behind. :(

That's the way things are for most kids no matter what school or what year they attended school. Everyone feels as if they have too much homework and not enough free time. But that's just the way life goes.

its the really age old saying of work hard now and enjoy your rewards later when u can appreciate them. Lates 20's may seem old to u now but u are better able to cope with pressure and a well paid job...... better than flipping burgers or picking up trash. If you ask people who do those jobs now I bet they regret not doing well in school.!!

no. You're grown up. If you want to play, then drop out. This is life
